Resin-bonded tap-hole clay stemming

The resin used in the resin-bonded tap-hole clay is liquid phenolic resin. The average molecular weight of the phenolic resin has a significant effect on the hardening speed of the gun mud. Generally, the hardening speed accelerates with the increase of the average relative molecular mass, and the hardening speed too fast will affect the working performance of the taphole mix.

Resin-bonded tap-hole mix is generally used in large and medium-sized blast furnaces. It is made of fused corundum (brown fused alumina), silicon carbide, graphite, soft clay, asphalt, coke powder and additives (including silicon nitride or ferrosilicon nitride).

The application effect of resin bonded taphole mix is better, which not only improves the working environment, but also shortens the working time, ensures the depth of tapping hole and stable tapping operation.
